Our group of former Fairfield Harbour Presidents and Directors continue to stay involved because we care deeply about the community we chose to serve. We meet regularly to discuss pressing issues facing the community and share our opinions with the current leaders. Collectively we have more than 30 years on the Board, and 127 combined years of residency in the Harbour, from 1998 to the present.
Beginning in 2021 and for the past four years we have become increasingly concerned about the direction the Board of directors was taking, most notably the decision to build a $10.5 million dollar clubhouse with little community input. We have always believed our primary goal was to ensure the basic operational requirements were fulfilled in a fiscally responsible way.
Fairfield Harbour is a great place to live, but it needs intelligent, responsible management that listens to what the members have to say. That’s how we did it.
Last year it became evident to all of us the only way to change the direction of the Board was to change the Board members through the democratic process. Last year we strongly supported Don Moore and Chris Barajas for the two open seats. Last year, they won by strong majority vote.
This year we strongly support Wayne Anderson and Lee Fossett!
We've discussed community projects and management with Lee and Wayne and have checked their references. They are the right people for the job.
Lee and Wayne, as a team with Chris and Don, will ensure open communication, open governance, sound fiscal policy, infrastructure/property maintenance, long-term community needs, and homeowner involvement, with the goal of stabilizing and reuniting the community.
